When I made these videos, the new scoring system had no official name.

The old system had been devised by Dr Gleason.

It was called the Gleason score.

The new system had been devised by Dr Epstein.

I assumed it would be called the Epstein score.

Since then, the new score has been accepted as the international standard by the International Society of Urological Pathologists (ISUP).

So, now it is called the ISUP score.

As I write this (2024), the International Society of Urological Pathologists suggests that both the Gleason score and the ISUP score are on pathology results. Sometime in the future, only the ISUP score will be used.

Why "Epstein Score" is now ISUP score

Long explain
